OxClean in Old Marston March 2008
Over the weekend of 14th - 16th March, groups of volunteers around Oxford got together to pick up litter litter from their communities with support from the Oxford Civic Society, Oxford City Council and the Oxford Times. We had three teams in Old Marston. On Friday morning a class from St Nicholas Primary School collected litter from Mortimer Hall Recreational Ground and the underpass. On Friday afternoon a small team from Mill Lane lead by Edward Peters went along the banks of the River Cherwell and collected a large amount of litter. On Saturday morning we had a large team from Old Marston, including Cllr Mary Clarkson, who between them collected nearly 50 sacks of rubbish.
