Marston Book Festival and Fundraiser: Saturday 5th March

If you love books, you're in for a treat! We're having a book-themed day on Saturday 5th March at St Nicholas Church Hall, to raise money for Divya Shanthi, a Christian charity in India which works with vulnerable children and families.

We'll be raising money to buy books for Divya Shanthi's school library, and we'll be celebrating great books and great writing, with contributions from local authors and storytellers.

Admission is free, and there's no need to book – just come along on the day. The Church Hall is on Elsfield Road, Old Marston.

From 2.30pm till 4.30pm, we'll have family activities, including:

 Book-themed quizzes

 Children's stories being read and told

 A bring-and-buy stall of children's books

 Crafts and colouring

 Home-made cakes and biscuits, and soft drinks

From 6.30pm onwards, we'll have an evening for teenagers and adults, with:

 Readings and talks by local authors and poets

 A bring-and-buy stall of books

 A crafts and gifts stall with items from Divya Shanthi

 Indian snacks, and wine

 An update about Divya Shanthi's work

We'd love to see you there!
